All the products in our home packages have gone through a rigorous selection process to ensure each material meets our stringent Performax standards. Our Lumber has been selected from the prolific forests of the Pacific Northwest by our preferred sawmills and precision milled using the latest laser technology. This premium selected SPF lumber is then kiln dried to 19% or less moisture content. Kiln dried lumber ensures that your floors, walls and roof are straight and true. No need to worry about the problems associated with green and inferior lumber commonly available at most building yards, such as sagging roofs, crooked walls or lifting floors. Our lumber gives you a reliable building material you can count on for optimum, lasting performance.

Our Floors are supplied with 2x6 treated sill plates, 2x10 solid lumber joists at 16" or 12" on centers as required, 2x2 precut cross bridging and 5/8" tongue and groove plywood subfloor. We even provide the glue and screws for fixing the plywood to the joists.

Our Exterior Walls are made of premium 2 x 6 grade material for a stronger and more energy efficient system. The studs are 16" on center with single bottom and double top plates. Appropriate framing is also supplied for all openings. Precision crafted prefabricated wall sections are possible. The equivalent components can be shipped unassembled to some geographic areas. This means our walls can be erected quicker and more efficiently to make your home weatherproof and secure as soon as possible.

Our Glu-Lam Beams are included in every Country, Heritage, and Recreational collection home package. These are installed so that the roof rafters rest on top of the center beam to provide the best looking effect for the interior vaulted ceiling. To achieve this result we only use the highest quality architectural grade beams made of Douglas Fir which provide both advanced strength and aesthetic appeal. A beautiful wood architectural feature that brings warmth to your vaulted room great room.

Our Roof System In selected designs vaulted areas consist of 2x12 solid premium grade rafters at 24" on center, with 2x4 cross strapping when required for optimal ventilation, and then covered with 1/2" roof sheathing. Other designs consist of manufactured trusses for cost effective construction. All Maple Homes designs are designed to meet a 40 pound per square foot snow load. Materials and engineering for greater wind or snow loads are extra. An optional Arctic Zone system can upgrade your roof to meet the most severe snow and insulation requirements.

Our Sheathing used for the exterior walls and roof, is engineered to have strength and stiffness equivalent to plywood, but has no core voids or knotholes. OSB is a extremely consistent product that never has a soft spot and is reliably stiff. Also, OSB is 2 times stronger than plywood in resisting shear conditions. As a more efficient use of wood fiber, it is more uniform and environmentally friendly building material. Now, up to 80% of homes built in North America use OSB as sheathing.

Our Standard Exterior Siding for Maple Homes is specially selected from the Hardi line of products. Hardiplank is a fiber cement composition siding which comes with a 50 year warranty and a long-established proven track record in the field. We prime coat it so it is ready to paint. Hardiplank is extremely durable, remains non-combustible, holds paint longer, is resistant to damage caused by hail or termite attacks and will not crack or delaminate. It is suitable for the following climates:

• Hot, Dry Climates – will not crack or delaminate. Paint lasts longer
• Cold, Windy Climates – resists shrinking and will not become brittle even in extreme cold. Can be installed to withstand high winds.

• Resists Impacts – durable, uniform surface resists damage from hail and flying debris.
• Resists Fire – completely non-combustible
• Resists Termites – impervious to termites and other wood eating insects

Country Heritage Hardiplank installs and nails just like wood. A 50 year express limited transferable warranty is provided when properly installed and maintained.

Our Cedar Exterior Siding Our cedar siding package is also extremely popular and consists of 1”x8” western red cedar board siding carefully selected from the best quality manufacturers.

Our Exterior Trim This is standard on all our designs unlike our competitors where it is only an option available for additional charges. The trim materials will match the exterior siding and can be finished with the accent color of your choice.

Our Windows are a very important element in your home package as they are your home's eyes to the world. They can truly make a home look stunning, as well as being functional. Windows let in light and provide wonderful views to the outside. At Maple Homes, we ensure that all our windows do all of these things as well as meet our stringent Performax standards.

Performax windows are chosen for their low maintenance and high energy efficiency. We have specified a top quality vinyl window, fusion welded for extra strength using the latest technology and supplied by a national brand name manufacturer. You never have to worry about painting or staining our vinyl windows because the color extends all the way through. It truly is a low maintenance solution.

All our windows are double glazed, and use the latest sealants, spacers and weather stripping for optimal energy performance. Also, energy performance can be further enhanced with Cardinal LowE coatings and argon gas filled units. This makes for a more comfortable home and less fading of drapery and furniture.

Our windows meet or exceed standards for air and water leakage, wind load, forced entry and energy efficiency as established by the AAMA, NFRC, CAN A440-M90 and CWDMA. These windows are backed by a first rate warranty on the frame and insulating glass.

They are available in White or Almond and have one the industry's widest range of popular shapes, sizes, options and accessories.

Our Exterior Doors are steel insulated, prehung in primed wood frames for ease of installation and maximum durability. They come in a wide variety of designs and configurations. Many designer lites are also available as upgrades.

Our Performax Roofing packages includes a 25 year asphalt or 30 year fiberglass shingle. A wide variety of styles and colors are available to coordinate with your exterior finishing. Roof felt, vents, step and valley flashing and trim are also included.

Our Soffit and Fascia finishes off your home's exterior. Our continuous aluminum vented soffit is provided for all eaves which provide adequate ventilation to your roof areas. Primed combed face wood fascia is supplied as 2x8 for all sides with 2x10 and a decorative 1x4 relief accent for the front gables.

All framing lumber is carefully selected and kiln dried to provide superior straightness and strength. Our windows are low maintenance, energy efficient products that meet or exceed all NFRC and CSA standards and carry a 20 year warranty. And our roofing and siding materials can carry extended warranties of up to 50 years depending on product selected.

Buying a complete package is the best solution under any circumstances. It saves time, money and costly mistakes. The further your building site is from a large building supplier, the more this is true. Driving to a distant store not only costs you the gas and the travel time, but also increased labor costs due to lack of productivity. This is not to mention the delay in completion or problems caused by weather exposure to your half-finished home. From any point of view it just isn't worth it to buy materials in small quantities.
